Pruning and timing tips from Google and ChatGPT:

  • grasses should usually be left up year round and pruned in the early spring

  • anything dead can be pruned any time

  • don't trim hedges when they're not actively growing or when the season is almost over 

  • don't make cuts you're not certain about until you've researched the effect on the specific plant. Every plant category reacts differently to pruning
