Interlock Paver Weeding

Service details: scraping or weedwhacking interlock, paving slabs, and asphalt

Your options when dealing with weeds in hardscaping

  1. weed whack or scrape them out once in a while for maintenance purposes

  2. do #1 but follow it up with polymeric sand application

  3. apply herbicides

  4. remove hardscaping and reinstall it again with base preparation

  • I can do #1 easily. #2 is doable; I will choose the best polymeric sand option that I know and apply it. If there are issues (sand failure or hazing) then, I'll deal with those. #3 is not legal for me to apply, but I can recommend herbicides and how to acquire them for property owners to apply themselves. #4 is not something that I'm too experienced with, but check out my landscaping renovations page for more details.

Garden Bed Weeding

Service Details: weeds are pulled out of garden beds by hand. Root fragments inevitably are left behind during this process.

Creating weedless gardens: You have two options when it comes to reducing weed populations in your garden beds

  1. manual removal - do it frequently to get more roots out from perennial plants or at minimum do it before plants go to seed and start making the problem worse

  2. adding more plants to your garden - the larger the plants, the more area they cover or shade they create, the more competitive and weed-y they are, the fewer unwanted weeds you'll have
